Telltale sign
Stepping out of the metro and onto rue Montorgueil last night after 3 wonderful days away in Brittany, I felt my heart sink. I was not sad the week-end was over, that's the way week-ends go and, if anything, we are enjoying spending time in our apartment now that the remodel is (nearly) complete. No, something else gave me this nagging feeling. The thought that I could potentially run into some of people in the building we have been fighting with during our remodel just depressed me for a second. It is ironic because there are obviously more people in this neighborhood I enjoy running into and they should overshadow the handful that I can't stand. But that was my immediate unfiltered reaction and it made me a bit sad. Maybe it is a good thing we are planning to leave. The time away will hopefull get rid of the bad feelings and put things into perspective again.
