The kids are back
My father accompanied Emmanuel and Gabriel back to Paris yesterday. A few minutes before they arrived, Gabriel's friend John from Orinda showed up with his family. We will get to spend a bit of time (including this picnic in the gardens of the Palais Royal where the boys are doing "cheers" with a piece of cheese) with them before we head to California on Monday. Things have sped up. We enjoyed our last "free" week with more kitchen planning (we have moved on to selecting tiles for the floor), a movie ("Broken English" whose story is bound to appeal to any French-American couple) and having dinner with some child-free friends (at a great restaurant in the Marais we highly recommend called Monjul). Despite all the fuss about enjoying our free time, it was great to see those guys again. They are very excited about leaving for the US after a great vacation in Châtellerault. A vacation that included sleeping in a tree and another activity climbing in trees.
