The places we will be from
If Stephanie does not mind, I will steal one of her ideas to name her blog, a sentence out of a Green Day song which I did not know before her post, but really like. I am just borrowing it to name this post, nothing more. This picture from Spring 2007 just popped up on my computer as part of the running slide show. It shows Gabriel in the sandbox at his grandparents' in California. In less than a week, this is where Gabriel, Emmanuel and I will be. This California sandbox and house and town and area is where the boys and I will be from for the next five weeks.

I like this idea of "the places we will be from". When I was in high school, I remember very vividly sitting in a huge room where we took exams and thinking about that more specific concept of the "rooms where we will live our life". I thought there are rooms right now somewhere in the world where important parts of my life will be lived and I have no idea of where they are and what will happen there. Obviously, I was very excited about the prospect as I still remember the feeling some 20 years later. And in answer to your post about the reunion, thanks God the French don't do high school reunions!!
