The strike through Emmanuel's eyes
Emmanuel's teacher was on strike today. After he refused to do the homework she had assigned for today, I told him he did not have to do it if he could write an essay about his reasons. The whole exercice turned into an all-day job with some research about the history of strikes, a phone interview and some on the spot reporting at the demonstration at Bastille. When I told him that he had expanded much more effort than the teacher had expected in the first place, he said that he did not mind because it had been fun. I would say this was a productive strike! You can see more of his pictures here (he had no time for comments on Flickr tonight because he had already written 2-3 pages in French and drawn a cute comic strip about the subject).
