Work site update
Some good news on our remodel which started in earnest this week : at the end of the week, we again have electricity and hot water for showers. Today, we ordered the floor tiles even though that was a bit of a drama of its own when we learned that the tile supplier's warehouse had burned down and all orders would be delayed several weeks. It turns out it does not matter terribly since repairing our damaged beams through the proper channel and a special general meeting of the building owners is sure to take even longer. At this point, we either bang our head against the walls or we shrug it off and take a positive outlook...One thing is for sure, we will not be cooking our Thanksgiving turkey in our new kitchen, not our Christmas turkey either. Now Easter dinner is probably doable.
