It is pumkin time again

Aunt Mo had a great idea this week-end after soccer games : a trip to a pumpkin patch. We found one that sounded good out in Clayton and drove over there (thank you Google and  iPhone). The positive person in me will tell you that we had a great time. We all enjoyed getting lost in the straw bale maze, playing giant tic-tac-toe and selecting our pumpkins, some for carving and some for eating. We got into a letter hunt which took us all around the farm and we were very happy when we found the answer to the riddle because it was not easy. It was sunny and warm, the kettle corn was yummy. Now the more jaded side of me will tell you that the pumpkins were all trucked in from elsewhere and that the whole thing was basically a big money-making operation, charging you every time you turned around. Here you have it, the basic battle between my American-optimistic-bright side and my French-blasé-critical side.
