Juicy tomatoes
I am enjoying some rare time alone with my parents. It must be the first time in more than 10 years. While EJ and the boys are away on a vacation of their own, I am getting spoiled with my mom's home cooking and some quiet time (not entirely a vacation as I work in the mornings). We are visiting relatives and spending a lot of time around the table in the typical French manner. Today, I was gardening and mowing the lawn. The other day, we attended a night concert in a 12th century abbey, listening to a young trio playing Haydn. Time is flying by.
One of the joys of being here, besides the family time, is the garden tomatoes. They are so ripe and tasty, they have nothing in common with most store-bought tomatoes.
