This week, my dad came up to Paris to help us load up a van with most of the furniture we had borrowed from my grandmother’s house (only her bedroom set is staying – in the bean). Out went all the furniture which we had used in our kitchen and lately stacked up in corners waiting to take them back to Poitou. We drove the van down, unloaded in a few minutes with several friends and the boys’s help. The next day, the three of us drove back up to Paris. It is the end of an era. I am happy we got to use this furniture; it served us very well for 12 years and it was a nice reminder of my grandmother for all those years.
