Progrès dans la cuisine/Kitchen moving forward

J'attendais une réunion de chantier avec l'architecte pour ne pas me réjouir trop tôt. Mais depuis deux semaines, les travaux dans la cuisine ont repris : la poutre la plus abîmée a été renforcée, le plâtre est fait entre les poutres et le faux plafond autour de la pièce est en cours. Sauf incident, la cuisine devrait être posée en fin de mois. Je reste prudente dans mon enthousiasme tant nous avons eu d’ennuis jusque là. Mais on avance dans le bon sens.

Exceptionally, I will post in French and in English like in the good old days. Work has resumed in the kitchen. The worse beam has now been reinforced and the work passed the inspection by the building’s architect. In the past week, our contractor has been laying plaster between the beam and starting work on the lowered ceiling which will run around the perimeter of the room. Given all the trouble we have run into, I am feeling cautiously optimistic. We are making progress again and are on target for the kitchen to get installed at the end of the month.
