Smooth rentrée
The atmosphere was definitely joyful in the school courtyard this morning. The place was buzzing with parents and kids happy to see their friends again and to discover their new classmates and teachers. The boys are both happy about their assignment (Emmanuel's new teacher was described to us as the "Rolls Royce" of teachers and we hear that kids who had her as a substitute last year cried when she left!!).
At the end of the day, I picked up two excited kids who were happy to show off their new books and their list of supplies we will need to get quickly before school resumes on Thursday (no school on Wednesdays here). That definitely deserved a freshly baked cookie back at home for the "gouter".
Meanwhile on the home front, EJ, our electrician and two plumbers were hard at work all day while I hammered away on the computer and worked the phone back in my office/bedroom. This place was a regular bee hive today.
