Je retourne à l’école/Back to school
Silence depuis deux jours car je prenais un cours pour apprendre à mettre de la vidéo en ligne. C’est un peu mettre la charrette avant les bœufs car il faut aussi que j’apprenne à filmer et à éditer pour avoir quelque chose à mettre en ligne. En fait, ce ne serait pas vraiment moi qui mettrais en ligne, mais les sites avec lesquels je travaille et qui sont de plus en plus friands de « multimédia » pour habiller le texte. Mon apprentissage ne fait que commencer, mais je suis contente d’avoir fait le premier pas. Hier soir, après une journée de cours et une soirée de célébration, j’étais trop crevée pour blogger. Carole Lynne et moi avons pris l’habitude de célébrer nos anniversaires, très proches, en même temps : une expo sur Matisse sculpteur au SFMOMA et un dîner branché chez Bacar dans le quartier de SoMa (South of Market).
No word from me for two days because I have been taking a class to learn how to get video on the web. I have probably gone at this the wrong way because I also need to learn how to produce and edit video in order to have something to put online. As a matter of fact, I would not be the one doing that work, the sites I work for and which are so keen on adding multimedia around the written word would do it. But it was a first step in my training, I am very happy to have gotten the ball rolling. Last night after a day in the classroom and an evening of celebration, I was too beat to blog. Carole Lynne and I have gotten into the habit of celebrating our birthdays, three days apart, together: an exhibit about Matisse as a sculptor at SFMOMA and dinner at Bacar in trendy SoMa.
